Sibutramine is used by athletes and bodybuilders in combination with diet and exercise to reduce appetite and facilitate lowering the required body fat percentage.
Dosage: Between 20mg and 40mg / day
Sibutramine is a drug produced since 1997 and used asadjunctive treatment against nutritional obesity. It is a phenylethylamine anorexigen that causes a change in brain amines leading to a decreased appetite and a feeling of fullness.
Sibutramine acts by inhibiting the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine. But, unlike Fenfluramine and its derivatives, it does not increase the level of circulating serotonin and would therefore not have the cardiac side effects of the latter. It increases the feeling of satiety and therefore reduces food intake. Sibutramine is particularly effective, it acts from the start of the cycle (after 2/3 days only).
It is not recommended to exceed 12 months of treatment and to use Sibutramine if you have a cardiovascular history.
